The term “involuntary celibacy”, means that someone is living in celibacy, not out of belief or because someone wants it but because somebody doesn’t know how to initiate sex in his/her life.
Mostly this will have to do with a sex-negative upbringing that makes it harder to either have sex, or have the knowledge about the social interactions (like flirting) that should (could) lead to sex later on.
